As a more mature online networker, I have found myself 'deep' into the functionality of online networking. Sometimes I feel like I am 'drowning' in the sea of the 'information highway'. It takes special people to want to take up this challenging way of working..... and it takes VERY special people who do the mentoring and training.

I am currently a student of Lea Charlton ~ mentor, trainer, friend. She is quite accomplished in the online arena. I am so happy to have connected with her.

As an initial step I found a site that gives training, seo marketing skills, and offers their site with all the seo amenities for a penny a day!
Pittsburgh SEO Internet Marketing Comment by Pittsburgh SEO Internet Marketing on December 13, 2008 at 5:48am
Hello!

This is Lea Charlton from Pittsburgh, PA. I have been a full time WAHM for around 5 years and then PT since 1998. I have just added a group to this site called Orange Leads. If I could share a resource that I believe would be of most benefit to other WAHMs, that would be one of them. I am saying this because of the success I have had with them this far - it is free for you to use.

Additionally, I would like to know how others are marketing their businesses.

Teresa,

Very important to change things up as you get more and more experience...or just to make it a bit different sometimes.......hopefully you'll have repeat visitors to your site and they'll become interested if they see new and different things all the time!

Believe in your DREAM,

This is a comment to Terri Lorah. You asked about what to write on your website just starting out. I am kind of looking for the same advice.......I know that there are certain this to do and say to help your placement in the search engines, and basically, that's what we all want, that kind of advertizing that doesn't cost an arm and a leg :0)

I can give you some hints in writing though. Always be sincere and coming from a place of "how can I help someone learn more about my products and business"

On your "about me" page tell your story. What attracted you to SS, what was your life like then. Were you drawn by the $, the candles, were you a customer first? What every your story is.

Then tell how your life has changed since you have been with the company. Even if this is just a very short time.

Don't be afraid of useing your own exact story....there are many people out there and some of them will be right there and able to relate to you.

So, it's basically......where were you at, what were your needs and wants, how did either using the product or joining the business help you to fill those needs.

Hope that helps,
Pat Bergstedt

I am wondering what others wrote in their personal websites when they first started? I read about the success of many but as I try to create my own website I don't have the experience or the success yet that others have. (Notice I said Yet!) so I'm not sure how to write it without sounding fake. Any suggestions?
